Applications
Nylon 6-6 is frequently used when high mechanical strength, great rigidity, and good stability under heat is required It is used for ball bearing cages, electro-insulating elements, pipes, profiles and various machine parts. Other popular applications are: carpet fibres, apparel, airbags, tires, zip ties, ropes, conveyor belts and hoses.
Nylon 6,6's longer molecular chain and denser structure qualifies it as a premium nylon fiber, specified most often by professional architects and designers for use in commercial settings like offices, airports, and other places that get a lot of wear and tear. It is also an excellent choice for residential carpet applications.
