Northern Illinois - Interstate 88 Cross Section

Interstate 88 Cross Section

Interstate 88 (the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway) connects the region, east-west, stretching from the Quad Cities, eastward through Sterling-Rock Falls, Dixon, DeKalb, Aurora, Naperville, and into Chicago. Northern Illinois is also the only region of the state in which there are tollways, which are run by the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, another trait separating this region from Central and Southern Illinois.

Famous quotes containing the words interstate, cross and/or section:

At bottom, I mean profoundly at bottom, the FBI has nothing to do with Communism, it has nothing to do with catching criminals, it has nothing to do with the Mafia, the syndicate, it has nothing to do with trust-busting, it has nothing to do with interstate commerce, it has nothing to do with anything but serving as a church for the mediocre. A high church for the true mediocre.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

Things have dropped from me. I have outlived certain desires; I have lost friends, some by death ... others through sheer inability to cross the street.
    Virginia Woolf (1882–1941)

Ah, Governor [Murphy, of New Jersey], don’t try to deceive me as to the sentiment of the dear people. I have been hearing from the West and the East, and the South seems to be the only section which approves of me at all, and that comes from merely a generous impulse, for even that section would deny me its votes.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)
