Athletics
Northampton High is a very strong sports school. Both boys and girls soccer are highly ranked, and the Ultimate Frisbee team is ranked 32nd in the country. The Cross-Country Team is one of the best in Massachusetts, winning Western Mass in 2010, and putting 3 runners to states in 2011. Northampton High School also has one of the strongest girls varsity basketball programs in the state. The Northampton High School Girls Varsity Basketball team won the Massachusetts Girls Division 1 Basketball Championship for the 2007-2008 season. Then in the 2010-2011 season, the Boys Varsity Basketball team won the Western Massachusetts Division 1 title.
