  • Thérèse Maclear (married to Lawson: 1980–2008) (one son Tom and one daughter Emily)

Lawson has a property in France too, and enjoys dividing his time between England and France.

In August 2011, it was reported that the 79-year-old Lawson had met a new partner, Dr Tina Jennings, 39 years his junior and a decade younger than his famous daughter Nigella. Dr Jennings is also a mother of 4.

Lord Lawson is a member of the Garrick, Beefsteak and Pratt's Clubs.

Famous quotes containing the words family life, personal and, personal, family and/or life:

Freud is all nonsense; the secret of neurosis is to be found in the family battle of wills to see who can refuse longest to help with the dishes. The sink is the great symbol of the bloodiness of family life.
    Julian Mitchell (20th century)

Art is a concrete and personal and rather childish thing after all—no matter what people do to graft it into science and make it sociological and psychological; it is no good at all unless it is let alone to be itself—a game of make-believe, or re-production, very exciting and delightful to people who have an ear for it or an eye for it.
    Willa Cather (1873–1947)

Behind all their personal vanity, women themselves always have an impersonal contempt—for “woman.”
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

Happy or unhappy, families are all mysterious. We have only to imagine how differently we would be described—and will be, after our deaths—by each of the family members who believe they know us.
    Gloria Steinem (b. 1934)

And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
    Bible: Hebrew Exodus 21:23.
