The Lighthouse
SGI President Daisaku Ikeda had referenced to the lighthouse in his written works. One was a poem in which he expressed his determination to be a great guiding force to the people around him.
I work hard at my faith
I will be a beacon light
a small yet a great light
that people can trust and take ease in.
Another was an episode in the New Human Revolution, in which he encouraged the Suikokai members during a training retreat at the seaside to become wonderful leaders who guide the people away from suffering and towards happiness, much like how a lighthouse guides ships away from danger and towards safety in arriving to its destination.
