The finals was held on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall in the EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts. The slogan for this year's contest is "唱出新勢力!" ( Singing out a New Force! ). The special performing guest is cantopop singer and Tat Dik from Hong Kong.
