Early Life
Ukraden was born in the Croatian city of Imotski in 1950. She grew up in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, but she also lived in a few other Bosnian cities, mainly because of her father's professional commitments. Respecting the wishes of her father, she attended University of Sarajevo where she successfully acquired degrees in Law and Philology, English language. It was only at the age of seventeen that she started singing in the late 1960s.
