Future
The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature has expressed interest in creating up to nine new nature reserves in Jordan. There were also two other sites mentioned in two reports issued in 1979 and 1998 on the feasibility of new reserve sites around the country. The nine that RSCN have expressed interest in include:
- Burqu’
- Yarmouk River
- Fifa
- Qatar
- Jabal Mas’uda
- Aqaba Mountains
- Rajel
- Abu Rukbeh
- Bayer
The two additional sites are:
- Jarba
- Jordan River
