Native Plant Society of Texas - Annual Symposium

Annual Symposium

Every fall an annual educational symposium is held in a different vegetational region of Texas celebrating the unique flora of the region. The symposium features an awards banquet, exhibitions, lectures and field trips within the region. The 2012 Symposium was in Kerrville, Texas on October 4-7, 2012 and featured the Texas Hill Country with the theme "The Changing Landscape of the Texas Hill Country." The 2013 Symposium will be in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Famous quotes containing the words annual and/or symposium:

No annual training or muster of soldiery, no celebration with its scarfs and banners, could import into the town a hundredth part of the annual splendor of our October. We have only to set the trees, or let them stand, and Nature will find the colored drapery,—flags of all her nations, some of whose private signals hardly the botanist can read,—while we walk under the triumphal arches of the elms.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Plato’s Symposium shows that flirtation and philosophy can further one another.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
