History
Munroe Regional has been serving the residents of Marion County and surrounding communities for 114-years. The Munroe Regional History of the medical center is a rich one. It was named in honor of community leader T.T. Munroe, a major supporter of the hospital in its early years. The first building of the current hospital complex was completed in 1928.
