Mulanay is a first class sub-urban municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 50,826 people and the number of households was 9,772.

This place is situated on the Bondoc Peninsula; its geographical coordinates are 13° 31' 20" North, 122° 24' 15" East and its original name was Malunay. Mulanay is about 100 kilometres (62 mi) south-east from Lucena City.

The town proper, with her plain landscape, is a coastal town facing the Tayabas Bay. This is where the infamous pirate Lim Ah Hong or Lin Feng (his Chinese name) used to dock and bury his loot, as recalled by Josefa N. Nañadiego (deceased).
