MSC Malaysia is the Malaysia’s government’s initiative for the global ICT industry. Conceptualized in 1996, MSC Malaysia has since grown into a thriving dynamic ICT hub, hosting more than 2,000 multinationals, foreign-owned and home-grown Malaysian companies focused on multimedia and communications products, solutions, services and; research and development. Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) is the custodian of the MSC Malaysia initiative.
MSC Malaysia was originally centered in Cyberjaya, near the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. In June 2004, the MSC Malaysia Implementation Council Meeting outlined the National Roll-out of the MSC Malaysia to other states in Malaysia. Johor is one of the states identified for this roll-out.
