Famous quotes containing the words allotment and/or gardens:
“Now I hold Creation in my foot
Or fly up, and revolve it all slowly
I kill where I please because it is all mine.
There is no sophistry in my body:
My manners are tearing off heads
The allotment of death.”
—Ted Hughes (b. 1930)
“It is closing time in the gardens of the West and from now on an artist will be judged only by the resonance of his solitude or the quality of his despair.”
