Coach Bart Rison, who at the helm of the Men’s Basketball program turned MCHS into a 10th Region powerhouse, announced his retirement from that sport. Janie Robinson was hired as the new women's coach. New hire Gene Combs replaced outgoing Head Baseball Coach Mike Johnson in 2006 and brings several years of experience to the dugout. Head Football Coach Dan Gooch leads competitive squads and hopes to “Restore the Pride,” a battle cry for the Indian football team.

Coach Nick Pannell of the Infamous Men's soccer team has been one of the greatest soccer coaches to hit Montgomery County High School. Leading his team last year to the Elite 8 of Kentucky with a record of (16-3-1), further than either the basketball team or the football team has been in the past decade.
