In the early morning hours of March 30, 2009, Sofia Anna Mondini (January 7, 1988—March 30, 2009-), the 21-year old daughter of Monte Montgomery and ex-girlfriend Angela Mondini, was shot and killed by a friend allegedly "playing" with a loaded handgun. Justin Radwin pointed a .22-caliber pistol at Mondini, and after it discharged it struck her in the right chest area. Radwin was arrested on the charge of manslaughter and held on $50,000 bail. He was sentenced to twelve years in prison in 2010.
