The first Monster Massive was held in 1997 and all subsequent events have been held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Monster Massive of 2008 and 2009 had a reported 65,000 tickets sold. 16,000 attended in 2010. The event was limited to ages 18+ due to the death from water intoxication of Sasha Rodriguez in June 2010 at Electric Daisy Carnival. In 2011 the event was announced as cancelled by the online ticketing outlet, GrooveTickets (Flavor.us), and other artists scheduled to perform; Armin Van Buuren, Nero, and Erick Morillo. In 2012 the event was cancelled again like the year before. This coming just a day before the event. After the 2 years of failed events it appears that Go Ventures might have to call it quits due to the lack of support and distrust from their once die hard fans.
