Misfits in Action - Name Dispute

Name Dispute

Van Hammer was originally slated to be called "Private Stash" in keeping with the stable's theme of "toilet humor" names. He believed, however, he had worked too hard to be just a Private in a fictional army. Despite the ranks being meaningless and the name simply being a play on words, Van Hammer would not put his pride aside and eventually got his wish. His name was changed to "Major Stash" which effectively ruined the intended joke. (This may not be the actual reason, as "private stash" could also be interpreted as a veiled drug reference.)

Famous quotes containing the word dispute:

As for the dispute about solitude and society, any comparison is impertinent. It is an idling down on the plane at the base of a mountain, instead of climbing steadily to its top.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Your next-door neighbour ... is not a man; he is an environment. He is the barking of a dog; he is the noise of a pianola; he is a dispute about a party wall; he is drains that are worse than yours, or roses that are better than yours.
    Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874–1936)
