Mirror Music

Mirror Music by Wordsworth is an underground hip-hop album released by Halftooth Records in 2004. It is Wordsworth's highly anticipated debut after his album Punch N' Words with Punchline and many songs with Masta Ace, Black Star and others. It features production from Da Beatminerz, Ayatollah, Oddisee and DJ Static as well as many unknown producers like Frequency. It features guest vocals from Masta Ace, Kenn Starr, Punchline and other lesser known artists.

Wordsworth commenting on the albums title says "I felt the songs reflected the emotion, time or period that either I went through, someone next to me went through or somebody that might not even know me went through. And when I look at people, the audience, and they look at me, I think they see a reflection from me in my music."

Famous quotes containing the words mirror and/or music:

A novel is a mirror carried along a high road. At one moment it reflects to your vision the azure skies at another the mire of the puddles at your feet. And the man who carries this mirror in his pack will be accused by you of being immoral! His mirror shews [sic] the mire, and you blame the mirror! Rather blame that high road upon which the puddle lies, still more the inspector of roads who allows the water to gather and the puddle to form.
    Stendhal [Marie Henri Beyle] (1783–1842)

The manner in which Americans “consume” music has a lot to do with leaving it on their coffee tables, or using it as wallpaper for their lifestyles, like the score of a movie—it’s consumed that way without any regard for how and why it’s made.
    Frank Zappa (1940–1994)
