Miraidaira Station - Line

Line

Miraidaira Station is served by the following line:

  • Metropolitan Intercity Railway Company
    • Tsukuba Express

Semi-rapid and Local trains only stop at this station going towards both Akihabara and Tsukuba.

The semi-rapid train takes about 40 minutes to Akihabara Station in Tokyo. The local train takes about 45 minutes. However, the local train is often passed by the Rapid at Otakanomori Station. Riders who want to go to Akihabara are officially advised to switch trains at this station. But doing so during peak travel times usually results in not getting a seat. Riders should switch at station number 15, Moriya for the Rapid service to Akihabara.

Riders going to Tsukuba can take either the Local or the Semi-rapid from Miraidaira. The travel time is the same.

Riders going from Akihabara to Miraidaira can take the Rapid and switch at Moriya for a Semi-rapid or local. Or, they can take a Semi-rapid and not change trains. Most Locals departing Akihabara stop at Moriya, so riders need to transfer there to a Semi-rapid for Miraidaira. Some local trains do go all the way through to Tsukuba and stop at Miraidaira.

Famous quotes containing the word line:

Anybody who’s been through a divorce will tell you that at one point ... they’ve thought murder. The line between thinking murder and doing murder isn’t that major.
    Oliver Stone (b. 1946)

Michelangelo said to Pope Julius II, “Self negation is noble, self-culture is beneficent, self-possession is manly, but to the truly great and inspiring soul they are poor and tame compared to self-abuse.” Mr. Brown, here, in one of his latest and most graceful poems refers to it in an eloquent line which is destined to live to the end of time—”None know it but to love it, None name it but to praise.”
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

What, will the line stretch out to the crack of doom?
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
