Ministry Of Social Development (New Zealand)
The Ministry of Social Development (Māori: Te Manatū Whakahiato Ora) is a New Zealand government agency which has two main functions: providing social policy advice to the government, and providing social services. It is New Zealand’s largest government department employing people in over 200 locations around the country. The Ministry works closely with other government agencies, non-government organisations, advisory and industry groups, and communities and iwi. The Ministry delivers its services through a number of business groups and agencies.
