Biography
Melvin Bernhardt was born on February 26, 1931 in Buffalo, New York. His parents were Max Bernhard and Kate Benatovich. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University at Buffalo and his Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale University. Since January 8, 1989 Bernhardt has been partnered with New York based stage/television actor and audiobook narrator Jeff Woodman. The pair were married on September 10, 2011.
