Mehmood ul Hassan Kaukab Al Shirazi Al Tabrezi was a famous poet and critic of Peshawar. He was born in Tabriz, Iran and migrated to Peshawar, Pakistan via Afghanistan in the early 1900s. In Pakistan, he joined the Information Services. He helped enrich Hindko, Urdu and Persian literature for more than forty years. He died in 1967 and was buried in the Sheikh Habib Graveyard in Peshawar. He left behind six daughters and six sons.
