Early Life and Schoolboy Career
Scott grew up in the small town of Ilfracombe, Queensland and played junior football in the nearby town of Longreach. He moved to St. Brendan's College in Yeppoon as a boarder after being spotted by one of the school's coaches at an outback carnival. He was signed by the North Queensland Cowboys during his schoolboy days.
