Massachusetts's 7th congressional district is a congressional district in eastern Massachusetts, including several suburbs north and west of Boston. It is currently represented by Edward J. Markey, who has served the district since 1976. Massachusetts congressional redistricting after the 2010 census will change the borders of the district starting with the elections of 2012, with most of the old 7th district redistricted to the new 5th district. Most of the old 8th district will comprise the new 7th district. After redistricting, Mike Capuano will represent the district in 2013.
