The Mary Manse College Collection
In May 1976, Bowling Green State University's Center for Archival Collections received "administrative records, correspondence, subject files, literary productions, legal and financial documents, scrapbooks, printed material, and audio-visual materials" from Mary Manse College. For the first twenty-five years, the collection was only open to researches with written permission from the Superior general of the Ursuline Sisters of Toledo, however on 1 July 2001 the collection was opened to the public.

Famous quotes containing the words mary, college and/or collection:
“The traveller on the prarie is naturally a hunter, on the head waters of the Missouri and Columbia a trapper, and at the Falls of St. Mary a fisherman.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“In looking back over the college careers of those who for various reasons have been prominent in undergraduate life ... one cannot help noticing that these men have nearly always shown from the start an interest in the lives of their fellow students. A large acquaintance means that many persons are dependent on a man and conversely that he himself is dependent on many. Success necessarily means larger responsibilities, and responsibilities mean many friends.”
—Franklin D. Roosevelt (18821945)
“What is all wisdom save a collection of platitudes? Take fifty of our current proverbial sayingsthey are so trite, so threadbare, that we can hardly bring our lips to utter them. None the less they embody the concentrated experience of the race and the man who orders his life according to their teaching cannot go far wrong.”
—Norman Douglas (18681952)
