Mission
The Marquette Law Review was established in 1916 as a way for the law school to "make known its ideals and communicate its spirit." It is the eighth-oldest law review in the nation. Since its founding, the review has been dedicated to "the publication of not only theoretical articles of the law, but articles of real practical aid to the practitioner." It has placed particular emphasis on legal issues in Wisconsin, which led former Wisconsin Chief Justice George Currie to "express on behalf of the members of our court appreciation to a Law Review from which we have so greatly benefited in performing our judicial labors."
