Marpole Loop

Marpole Loop is part of the TransLink system, it is the southern-most transit exchange in the City of Vancouver.

Marpole Loop is under the northern foot of the Arthur Laing Bridge which connects Vancouver to Richmond's Vancouver International Airport. It is on Southwest Marine Drive, just south of Granville Street, one of Vancouver's major north-south arterial routes. Part of the exchange is located on Marine Drive itself, and part of it is located in an area separated from regular traffic. Because of this arrangement, the loop covers a large area; TransLink maps sometimes designate part of the loop as Hudson & Marine to avoid confusion.

The loop is located next to the Vancouver Transit Centre, which replaced the Oakridge Transit Centre in September 2006. The transit depot houses the city of Vancouver's public transit fleet. Marpole Loop can accommodate trolley buses, regular length diesel buses and articulated buses.

When the Canada Line opened in 2009, suburban express routes from Richmond, White Rock and Delta that once served Marpole Loop had their routes shortened, and now terminate at Bridgeport Station on the south side of the Fraser River in Richmond.
