Aside from the main Rural Health Unit under DOH-Batangas, Mayor Carlito Reyes, started the services of Malvar Maternity Clinic. A month after assuming his mayor position.
Malvar maternity clinic is accepting spontaneous deliveries. The clinic is open for 24 hours, which admits delivery services for the pregnant women of Malvar and immediate health services to any patient seeking immediate medical care at the clinic.
The clinic have resident on-duty doctors; each doctor schedules 7/11 every night and weekends at 24 hours duty. RHU personnel serves at daytime. Nurses are organized in 3 shifts, while at everynight a midwife is available to handle deliveries, and most specially an ambulance is available to do patients transfers. The services are free of charge.
The clinic offers a proper newborn care for all babies being delivered at the center along with post natal care, including perineal repair.
