Doctrines
According to the Mahīśāsakas, the Four Noble Truths were to be meditated on simultaneously. The earlier Mahīśāsakas appear to have not held the doctrine of an intermediate state between death and rebirth, but later Mahīśāsakas accepted this doctrine.
