Death
As part of a special operation to eliminated active gang members closely linked to Shamil Basaev, Khashiev and three other were killed in a skirmish in April 2004. In the Sleptsovskaya stanitsa of the Republic of Ingushetia, the law enforcement attacked a house where the four active gang members were hiding. The rebels offered armed resistance and were killed in retaliatory fire.
