Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography - Comparison To Other Techniques

Comparison To Other Techniques

In the diagnosis pancreatic disorders, MRCP is a much less invasive investigation when compared to endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Although both techniques can image the ductal system in detail, MRCP also allows imaging of the surrounding parenchyma. In a recent study of 269 patients undergoing both ERCP and MRCP, the MRCP compared favourably with the more invasive technique. Famous quotes containing the words comparison to other, comparison and/or techniques:

It is very important not to become hard. The artist must always have one skin too few in comparison to other people, so you feel the slightest wind.
    Shusha Guppy (b. 1938)

We teach boys to be such men as we are. We do not teach them to aspire to be all they can. We do not give them a training as if we believed in their noble nature. We scarce educate their bodies. We do not train the eye and the hand. We exercise their understandings to the apprehension and comparison of some facts, to a skill in numbers, in words; we aim to make accountants, attorneys, engineers; but not to make able, earnest, great- hearted men.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The techniques of opening conversation are universal. I knew long ago and rediscovered that the best way to attract attention, help, and conversation is to be lost. A man who seeing his mother starving to death on a path kicks her in the stomach to clear the way, will cheerfully devote several hours of his time giving wrong directions to a total stranger who claims to be lost.
    John Steinbeck (1902–1968)
