Machine Wars - Toys

Toys

The toys in the Machine Wars subline came in two size classes. The eight toys in the smaller size class were new molds left over from Generation 2, with two toys from each of four molds. The four larger toys were repaints of earlier European-exclusive Generation 1 toys.

The eight smaller toys had a spring-loaded "instant transformation" feature like the smallest toys of the first Beast Wars line also had. These toys were designed to have transparent windows and "light pipe" eyes, but those parts were cast in opaque plastic, much like the first year Beast Wars toys, probably to lower production costs.

Famous quotes containing the word toys:

The Child’s Toys and the Old Man’s Reasons
Are the Fruits of the Two seasons.
    William Blake (1757–1827)

Why should kings and nobles have
    Pictured trophies to their grave,
And we, churls, to thee deny
Thy pretty toys with thee to lie—
    A more harmless vanity?
    Charles Lamb (1775–1834)

Most baby books also tend to romanticize the mother who stays at home, as if she really spends her entire day doing nothing but beaming at the baby and whipping up educational toys from pieces of string, rather than balancing cooing time with laundry, cleaning, shopping and cooking.
    Susan Chira (20th century)
