Lucy Yang

Lucy Yang (born 1963) is a Taiwanese-American journalist. Yang is currently a mainstream reporter for WABC-TV in New York City, reporting for the station's 5, 6 and 11 PM broadcasts. Yang joined the Eyewitness News team in the fall of 1993 as a general assignment reporter.

Upon Yang's arrival in New York, she has become a favorite of the media capital. In the fourteen years that Lucy has reported for WABC-TV, she has covered such important events as the 2005 London bombings, the September 11 attacks, the attacks in Oklahoma City, the American visits of Pope John Paul II and many other world realignments.

Prior to joining WABC-TV, Yang was a respected reporter for WPVI-TV's Action News in Philadelphia. There, Lucy Yang was a reporter by the week and an anchor by the weekend. Before that, she was a reporter for The Long Island Report in Long Island, New York.

Lucy was also a reporter for WGLI, a local station on Long Island. Yang's journalism career began at the then WNEW-TV (now WNYW-TV in New York City). A video of Yang clearly exaggerating a flood in New Jersey went viral.
