Love Me Two Times - Live Versions

Live Versions

  • In 1968, the Doors went on a European Tour and recorded the song live. The live version went on the 1983 compilation album Alive, She Cried. This version had an alternate "Key Solo" between the verses that was much less complicated than the initial recording. It also had more organ effects than the original.
  • In 1972, the Doors played this song live in concerts after Jim Morrison's death. As a trio, Ray Manzarek was on the lead vocals (as well as the organ and the piano bass).
  • In both versions, the words are slightly altered, as with most other songs performed live by the Doors.

Famous quotes containing the words live and/or versions:

It is easy in the world to live after the world’s opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of a crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The assumption must be that those who can see value only in tradition, or versions of it, deny man’s ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
    Stephen Bayley (b. 1951)
