Early Life
Lorna was born in Mumbai on 9 August 1946 to Cecelia Cordeiro and Theophilus Cordeiro and was brought up there. She belongs to the Goan Catholic community, a prominent Christian community in Bombay. Her parents originally hail from Saligao, Goa. Lorna was the third child born in a family of 6 children consisting had 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She considers her family as typical Mumbaiyite Goan family. Lorna had completed her education in Mumbai and had finished her metriculation (SSC) there. Lorna used to love music from her childhood and particularly she liked singing Konkani songs.
