Two London Midland trains per hour in each direction between Northampton and Birmingham New Street serve Long Buckby. Alternate services run to and from London Euston. As of 2007, the station has a part-time ticket office.
On Sundays the service between Birmingham and Northampton serves Long Buckby but does not run south of Northampton. An hourly fast London Midland service between London Euston and Rugby also serves Long Buckby on Sundays. Alternate trains on this service run to and from Crewe via Tamworth and Stoke-on-Trent. (This service also runs Monday – Saturday but without calling at Long Buckby.)
