- Current PGA Tour golfer Kenny Perry, born August 10, 1960, graduated from Lone Oak High School in 1978. He started high school at Franklin-Simpson High School, but transferred to Lone Oak High School in McCracken County, Kentucky, when his father's job took him to work in nearby Paducah.
- Kerry Flood, later to be known as The Marshall, graduated Lone Oak High School in 1980 with a perfect attendance record for his complete school career.
- Corey Robinson, current starting quarterback for Troy University, graduated from Lone Oak in 2009. In his final football season at Lone Oak in 2008, he set what was then a national high school record with 91 touchdown passes.
