Famous quotes containing the words reviews, carried and/or act:

The skilful Nymph reviews her force with care:
Let Spades be trumps! she said, and trumps they were.
    Alexander Pope (1688–1744)

He gets his living by barking trees. Such a man has some right to fish, and I love to see nature carried out in him.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

George Eliot [Mary Ann (or Marian)
