Little Pine Creek

Little Pine Creek is a tributary of Pine Creek in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania in the United States.

Little Pine Creek is formed by the confluence of Blockhouse Creek and Texas Creek, approximately 15.8 miles (25.4 km) upstream of Pine Creek. Blacks Creek joins Blockhouse Creek approximately 0.8 miles (1.3 km) above.

4.2 miles (6.8 km) of Little Pine Creek flows through Little Pine State Park. A dam on the creek has created a 94-acre (38 ha) lake for fishing, boating, and swimming.

Little Pine Creek enters Pine Creek in the deepest part of the Pine Creek Gorge, also known as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, at the unincorporated village of Waterville.

Famous quotes containing the words pine and/or creek:

There is a higher law affecting our relation to pines as well as to men. A pine cut down, a dead pine, is no more a pine than a dead human carcass is a man.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The only law was that enforced by the Creek Lighthorsemen and the U.S. deputy marshals who paid rare and brief visits; or the “two volumes of common law” that every man carried strapped to his thighs.
State of Oklahoma, U.S. relief program (1935-1943)
