List Of Unsigned State Highways In Mississippi
The Mississippi Department of Transportation maintains a system of unsigned state highways in addition to the main state highway network.
These highways are legislatively numbered between 701 and 994, and run mostly along main streets and major roads through the state's towns and cities. The 700's run through the northern part of Mississippi, the 800's run through the central part, and the 900's run through the southern part. These roads are generally not arranged in any pattern because they are so short (many run less than a mile).
Note that some of the highways listed below may be signed (usually sporadically), but are considered to be part of the same system of reference routes.

“There yet remains but one concluding tale,
And then this chronicle of mine is ended
Fulfilled, the duty God ordained to me,
A sinner. Not without purpose did the Lord
Put me to witness much for many years
And educate me in the love of books.
One day some indefatigable monk
Will find my conscientious, unsigned work;
Like me, he will light up his ikon-lamp
And, shaking from the scroll the age-old dust,
He will transcribe these tales in all their truth.”
—Alexander Pushkin (17991837)
“I met a traveler from Arkansas
Who boasted of his state as beautiful
For diamonds and apples.”

I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.”

Bull: The trouble is Doc, Cole was in front of the gun. The safe place is behind Mississippi when he shoots that thing.”
