Grandfather-in-law of David Olmsted.
- David Olmsted (1822–1861), delegate to the Iowa Constitutional Convention 1846, Mayor of St. Paul, Minnesota 1854–1855. Grandson-in-law of James Fisk.
NOTE: David Olmsted was also brother of Minnesota Territory Representative S. Baldwin Olmstead.
