The chapters of the manga To Love-Ru are written by Saki Hasemi and illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki. They were published by Shueisha in Weekly Shōnen Jump August 24, 2006 to August 31, 2009. To Love-Ru chronicles the everyday life of high-school student Rito Yūki after his encounter with the mysterious alien girl Lala.
The 162 chapters from the manga were later collected in eighteen tankōbon volumes published from November 2, 2006 to April 2, 2010 by Shueisha.
A continuation of the first season is titled To Love-Ru Darkness. It began serialization in Shueisha's Jump Square on October 4, 2010. It has a new plot and will be involving new characters as well.
