Domestic Airport passenger numbers are calculated by the Department of Infrastructure and Transport and include passenger numbers from the major domestic airlines only; these being Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar Airways and Tiger Airways Australia. Regional Express, QantasLink and similar airlines are considered to be regional airlines and are not included in these figures.
