List of Ontario Provincial Electoral Districts

List Of Ontario Provincial Electoral Districts

The Ontario provincial electoral districts each elect one representative to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. These districts are coterminous with the federal electoral districts, and are based on the 2003 Representation Order as defined by Elections Canada. The exception is Northern Ontario, whose districts are not equivalent to their federal complements, since the provincial government did not want to decrease the number of districts in Northern Ontario.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list, provincial, electoral and/or districts:

I made a list of things I have
    to remember and a list
of things I want to forget,
but I see they are the same list.
    Linda Pastan (b. 1932)

    All is possible,
    Who so list believe;
Trust therefore first, and after preve,
As men wed ladies by license and leave,
    All is possible.
    Sir Thomas Wyatt (1503?–1542)

In sci-fi convention, life-forms that hadn’t developed space travel were mere prehistory—horse-shoe crabs of the cosmic scene—and something of the humiliation of being stuck on a provincial planet in a galactic backwater has stayed with me ever since.
    Barbara Ehrenreich (b. 1941)

Nothing is more unreliable than the populace, nothing more obscure than human intentions, nothing more deceptive than the whole electoral system.
    Marcus Tullius Cicero (106–43 B.C.)

Cities need old buildings so badly it is probably impossible for vigorous streets and districts to grow without them.... for really new ideas of any kind—no matter how ultimately profitable or otherwise successful some of them might prove to be—there is no leeway for such chancy trial, error and experimentation in the high-overhead economy of new construction. Old ideas can sometimes use new buildings. New ideas must use old buildings.
    Jane Jacobs (b. 1916)
