List of Nintendo GameCube Games

This is a list of all 640 games released for the Nintendo GameCube video game system. This list is organized alphabetically by the games' localized English titles, or, when Japan-exclusive, their rōmaji transliterations.

The Nintendo GameCube is Nintendo's fourth home video game console, released during the sixth generation of video games. It is the successor to the Nintendo 64, and was first launched in Japan on September 14, 2001, followed by a launch in North America on November 18, 2001, and a launch in Europe on May 3, 2002. A total of 12 games were available at launch from both first-party and third-party publishers. The successor to the Nintendo GameCube is the Wii, which was first released in North America on November 19, 2006, and is backward compatible with Nintendo GameCube games, memory cards, and controllers (excluding the late-2011 redesigned "Wii Family Edition" model, which removed backward compatibility for Nintendo GameCube games, memory cards, and controllers).

The last official game to be released for the Nintendo GameCube was Madden NFL 08, which was released in the United States in August 2007.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list and/or games:

Religious literature has eminent examples, and if we run over our private list of poets, critics, philanthropists and philosophers, we shall find them infected with this dropsy and elephantiasis, which we ought to have tapped.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Modern tourist guides have helped raised tourist expectations. And they have provided the natives—from Kaiser Wilhelm down to the villagers of Chichacestenango—with a detailed and itemized list of what is expected of them and when. These are the up-to- date scripts for actors on the tourists’ stage.
    Daniel J. Boorstin (b. 1914)

Whatever games are played with us, we must play no games with ourselves, but deal in our privacy with the last honesty and truth.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
