The Sphinx, testing Kendra's new abilities, had her recharge a pair of magical copper rods. Once recharged, they allowed the holders to switch places. The Sphinx used it at the end of "Grip of the Shadow Plague" to escape the Lieutenants of the Knights of the Dawn.
