Closed Stations

There are five extant closed stations on the passenger railway network in the city of Adelaide, South Australia:

  • Cheltenham Racecourse (Outer Harbor line) (closed 21 February 2009)
  • Clapham (Belair line) (closed 28 April 1995)
  • Hawthorn (Belair line) (closed 28 April 1995)
  • Islington Works (Gawler Central line) (closed 2000)
  • Millswood (Belair line) (closed 28 April 1995)

The Tonsley railway line was temporarily closed on 27 February 2012, with an expected reopening in March 2013. Stations also on the Noarlunga and Belair lines continue to be served by those lines. Currently, the following stations are only served by bus:

  • Mitchell Park
  • Clovelly Park
  • Tonsley
