Country Music Association Awards
The Country Music Association Awards is an annual country music awards show, established in 1967. Taylor Swift has been nominated a total of 16 times, winning 7 of those awards. Swift has also received the International Artist Achievement Award. At age 19 Swift is the youngest artist to ever be nominated for, and win, the award for Entertainer of the Year. Swift also received the "International Artist Achievement Award", which recognizes outstanding U.S.-based artists who contribute the awareness and development of country music throughout the world. Swift became the first female country singer to be nominated for 5 or more awards since Reba McEntire was nominated for 7 awards back in 1994.

Famous quotes containing the words country, music and/or association:
“The country is laid out in a haphazard, sloppy fashion, offensive to the tidy, organized mind.”
—Alan Brien (b. 1925)
“Taylor, the Shakespeare of divines.
His words are music in my ear,”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“It is not merely the likeness which is precious ... but the association and the sense of nearness involved in the thing ... the fact of the very shadow of the person lying there fixed forever! It is the very sanctification of portraits I thinkand it is not at all monstrous in me to say ... that I would rather have such a memorial of one I dearly loved, than the noblest Artists work ever produced.”
—Elizabeth Barrett Browning (18061861)
