Grammy Awards
The Grammy Awards are presented annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for outstanding achievements in the music industry. It is presented since 1958. Underwood has won 6 awards, out of ten nominations. In 2007, when she won the Best New Artist award, she became the first Country artist in a decade to win such an award. She is the second of only three Country artists to ever win that award, following LeAnn Rimes (1997) and preceeding Zac Brown Band (2010).
