The following books have been released for Ar tonelico II:

• Ar tonelico II Official Visual Book, which was released together with preorders of the Japanese version of the game, and it's basically a beta version of the Official Materials Collection Book that was released later on. An inferior version of this book was bundled together with the premium version of the US release.

• The Manga Adaptation of Ar tonelico II Ar tonelico II (アルトネリコ II, Aru toneriko II?) released by Blade Comics and published by Mag Garden in three volumes: on November 11 of 2007, March 10, and July 10 of 2008.

• The two volumes of the Ar tonelico II Anthology Collection (Ar tonelico II ～世界に響く少女たちの創造詩～ アンソロジーコレクシヨン, Ar tonelico II ~Sekai ni Hibiku Shoujo-tachi no Metafalica~ Ansorojii Korekushiyon?) the first being released by Enterbrain on February 21, 2008, and the second one by Ichijin Co. on February 25, 2008-

• The two volumes of the Ar tonelico II 4koma Anthology Comic (アルトネリコ2 世界に響く少女たちの創造詩 4コマアンソロジーコミック, Aru toneliko II ~Sekai ni Hibiku Shoujo-tachi no Metafalica~ 4koma Ansorojii Komikku?), which were released by Enterbrain on March 31, 2008; and May 1, 2008.

• The Ar tonelico II Player's Bible, which is a very basic guide for the game.

• The Ar tonelico II Perfect Guide (アルトネリコ II 世世界に響く少女たちの創造詩 パーフェクトガイド -, Aru toneriko II Sekai ni Hibiku Shoujo-tachi no Metafalica Paafekuto Gaido?), published by Enterbrain on December 13, 2007, which covers everything that wasn't covered by the Player's Bible.

• * The Ar tonelico II Official Setting Materials Collection Book (世界に響く少女たちの創造詩 設定資料集-, Aru toneriko II Sekai ni Hibiku Shoujo-tachi no Metafalica Settei Shiryoushuu?) (known among the fandom as the Settei Book 2), published on March 15th, 2008 by Softbank Creative, which contains a great amount of information on the world of the game and its backstory, which weren't revealed during the game. It also contains character profiles, illustrations, prototype drafts, and an interview with the creator of the series, Akira Tsuchiya, and its producer, Atsunori Kawachi.

• The Ar tonelico II Novel Ar tonelico II -The Metafalica of the Girls that Echoes to the World- (アルトネリコ II ～世界に響く少女たちの創造詩～, Aru toneriko II Sekai ni Hibiku Shoujo-tachi no Metafalica?) published by Softbank Creative on March 14, 2009, which delves in detail on the night before the execution of Metafalica made by Cloche and Luca, and what happened the night before Infel and Nenesha tried executing it. It also sheds some light in how the War Against the Goddess started after Infel and Nenesha's failure.

• The Ar tonelico Fanbook - Offline Ar Portal Resource (Shaking!)' (アルトネリコ ファンブック ~オフラインでも手元にアルポータル(シャキーン!), Aru toneriko II fanbukku -ofurain demo temoto ni aru po-taru (shaki-n!)?) released by Softbank Creative on September 29, 2008, which contains a copy of everything that was posted in the Ar Portal up to its date of release, with some added contents.
